Mor is very passionate about breastfeeding nutrition and helping with breastfeeding as a Licensed Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). It involves combining her two passions; nutrition and lactation.
How can nutrition impact breastfeeding? How important is it? During pregnancy, the baby is able to get lots of nutritients directly from mom, however during breastfeeding that relationship changes . Now the nutrients in the breastmilk are much more reliant on the diet of the mother. While there are lots of studies showing how you eat while breastfeeding can influence the breastmilk, it is important to clearly emphasise that breastfeeding is always prefered to formula with regards to diet, even if you eat 100% junk food! With that said, we do refer to research in helping with the ideal diet and breastfeeding. We can go over the ideal foods to consume, review the vitamins you are taking, and help you with meals and ideas for easy and quick that are practical for a mom.
